 Indigenous Internship Pilot Program

This initiative has been created to provide opportunities for Indigenous peoples to pursue rewarding careers in the Ontario Public Service (OPS).  The program will be launched as a pilot, providing an opportunity to evaluate the program’s effectiveness prior to a broader ministry-wide launch.  The pilot will focus on the position of Infrastructure Intern (II) and will be advertised as a multi-incumbent position with locations throughout the province.  MTO has identified twelve (12) placements – which, in addition to specific requirements - have a common program requirement that candidates must self-identify as being Indigenous (First Nation, Métis or Inuit). Please click on the following links to the positions:

Infrastructure Intern (North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury)

Infrastructure Intern (Kingston)

Infrastructure Intern (Kenora, Thunder Bay)

Infrastructure Intern (St. Catharines, Toronto)

Infrastructure Intern (London, Owen Sound)

If you have any questions, please contact Jean McDermott, Divisional Services Office, Provincial Highways Management at (905) 704-2641.
